Broken.
“Broken.”
“They said to me, ‘The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire’” (Neh 1:3) ♥️🙏🏾 Nehemiah’s heart broke—not just for ruined walls, but for a broken people. Nehemiah wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed—for four months. Why? Because he knew: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Ex 14:14). Sometimes, our walls feel broken too. Our defenses are down. Life’s storms crash hard. But have we prayed? Have we poured out our hearts before the One who sees, hears, and answers?” You have not, because you ask not” (Ja 4:2) God is still fighting for those who seek Him. So today, don’t let life’s trials get you down. Don’t let brokenness silence your prayer. Lord Jesus, thank You for being my light in darkness, and my fountain of hope when all feels lost. Thank You for bringing beauty out of brokenness, and for reminding me that—even in the fire—I am not alone. “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom 8:37).
