Forsaken Me!
Forsaken Me!
"My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Mt 27:46) ♥️🙏🏾 “...Why are You so far from saving me, so far from my words of groaning?” (Ps 22:1) Christ crucified, our living Savior, felt the weight of sin — which caused Him to feel forsaken. Sin can cause us to feel separated from Christ’s loving presence and unending care. As Christ prepared to pay the price for our sins on the cross, He experienced a sense of abandonment. We too may feel forsaken and abandoned at times, but never forget:
“Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place” (Heb 10:20).
This is the place where hope is restored and God’s resurrection power rests within and upon us. Lord, let us never forget that we have been crucified with Christ, and that He lives in us (Gal 2:20). Let us live by faith, knowing that we are not forsaken, and that nothing is impossible with our God.
