Goodness and Mercy!

“Goodness and Mercy!”

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

all the days of my life;

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

forever.”

 (Psalm 23:6)

Almighty God, sometimes I am humbled and troubled by spiritual darkness, doubts, and fears. Yet the more time I spend in Your presence, the more I realize that Your grace and mercy are the keepers of my very soul. I know that You — and You alone — can bring good out of evil, joy out of sadness, and clarity out of confusion, for You melt hardened hearts and move what seems immovable. May I never forget, Almighty God, that You are good to all You have made (Psalm 145:9). Your goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives.
