Merciful and Forgiving
“Merciful and Forgiving”
When Jonah saw that God showed mercy to Nineveh, his heart burned with anger (Jon 4:2). ♥️🙏🏾 Yet the very mercy that troubled Jonah is the same mercy that saves us. How often do we struggle when God is gracious to those we feel do not deserve it? Our Father in heaven is rich in compassion. He sent His Son, Jesus, who emptied Himself, took on the form of a servant. His life was a living testimony of humility, surrender, and sacrificial love. Today, we must release anger and embrace the heart of the Father. May we desire mercy more than judgment, love more than resentment, and obedience more than self-will. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 2:5). Rev Dr Lula Mae Phillips
