My Father’s Business
My Father’s Business
“And He said to them, ‘Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business’” (Lk 2:49). ♥️🙏🏾 Even as a child, Jesus understood His divine calling. He wasn’t lost—He was found, right where He belonged: in the temple, fulfilling the mission His Father had sent Him to do.
His words to Mary and Joseph were more than a response—they were a gentle reminder:
Had not Gabriel announced His birth? Did not the Magi honor Him with gifts? Had not Joseph dreamed divine protection into motion?
The psalmist echoes this heart: “I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart” (Ps :40:8).
Jesus knew who He was—and why He came. And just like Him, we too are called. “Many are called, but few are chosen” (Mt 22:14). Lord, I have heard Your voice. I surrender to Your will. I, too, must be about my Father’s business. Whatever today holds, may it reflect Your purpose and glory in my life.
