Rich Man’s Grave
“Rich Man’s Grave!”
As evening approached, a rich man from Arimathea named Joseph went to Pilate and requested Jesus’ body. He wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and placed Jesus in his own new tomb. Then he rolled a large stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away (Mt 27:57–60). ♥️🙏🏾 “He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death” (Isa 53:9).
The penalty for sin is death, yet “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law…” (Gal 3:13). Jesus was entombed for three days — a temporary placement for redemption as He passed through death. Men die, but God lives! We are all fading flowers, withering grass, and empty cisterns. May I remain deeply rooted, continually supported, sustained, and securely held by the Rock of Ages, Christ!
