“Something New!”

“The Lord … said, ‘Gideon, go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?’ …Gideon replied, ‘how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.’” (Jud 6:14–15). ♥️🙏🏾 The Lord did something new in Gideon’s life. He chose, a man who knew his limitations. “God takes the weak things of the world to shame the strong” (1 Cor 1:27). God told Gideon, you’re not going to use your strength, you’re going to use my strength!” The Lord gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless...” (Isa 40:29–31). Lord, when You call me to a task—whether big or small—I know You choose those who are humble, meek, and even weak, to fulfill Your plans. Let me never forget: I am standing only because of Your strength. Not my own.
