Spirit and Truth!

Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, telling her that true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth (Jn 4:23). ♥️🙏🏾 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable (Prv 15:8).

The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: "God, thank you that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get."

But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and prayed: "God, be merciful to me, a sinner" (Lk 18:13). Lord Jesus, be merciful and teach me to pray in Spirit and in Truth, for I, too, am like the tax collector. I know that with You, Lord, not some, but all things are possible!
