The Lord Watches!

“The Lord Watches!”

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain” (Ps 127:1). ♥️🙏🏾

Fathers are watchmen over their homes. Scripture reminds us, “For I have chosen [them]... to direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord..." (Gen 18:19).

The deep and abiding presence of the Lord in an earthly father’s life makes him boldly declare, “…as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Jos 24:15).

The Prayer:

Fathers are God’s watchmen. I pray today that they never forget the “exceeding greatness of God’s power” (Eph 1:19) and the limitless love and strength that they have access to.
