“You Asked Not!”

“the prodigal son returns, and his father celebrates killing the fattened calf. The older brother hears the music and becomes angry, saying, “You never gave me even a young goat to celebrate with my friends” (Lk 15:25-29). ♥️🙏🏾 The eldest son represents, cold hearted immovable, self-righteousness, and legalistic behaviors. Believers, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Rom 12:21). Rejoice when the lost are found. Do not become angry because their joy at being found is immeasurable, while you failed to ask the Father, for what you wanted or needed, “You do not have because you do not ask” (Jam 4:2). Lord, let me never become so self-centered, that I lose sight of others who need to know You: Your abounding love, peace and overcoming grace.
