Borrowed Tomb
"Borrowed Tomb”
"Joseph, with Nicodemus, wrapped Christ's body with spices — myrrh and aloes — laying Him in a tomb cut from rock (Jn 19:38–42). ♥️🙏🏾 "He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death… though He had done no violence” (Isa 53:9). Jesus’ tomb was not a place of permanent rest — it was a borrowed tomb, a stepping-off place for our Lord. Mary, stood weeping at the tomb, and said, “They have taken my Lord ...I don’t know where they put Him.” Jesus stood before her, she did not recognize Him (Jn 20:13–14).
Do not weep — the tomb was borrowed. Christ has risen, making the crooked roads straight (Isa 45:2), and the impossible, possible!
