He Stinketh!

“He Stinketh!”

“Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith, Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he hath been dead four days” (Jn 11:39). ♥️🙏🏾 “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Tim  1:7).

Martha spoke words of fear, doubt, and impossibility to the God of all possibilities. The crowd heard Christ’s words of faith-power, as they walked in fear! When Lazarus stood up in his grave clothes, the fear-filled crowd received their first true lesson on faith-power.

No matter what is dead and stinking, Christ can mend broken bones, bring life back to an empty womb, or open a sealed tomb, making the impossible possible! Christ spoke life to Lazarus, a man dead for four days, demanding that a fear-filled crowd take his grave clothes off. In doing so, He made faith real as they watched the impossible become possible!
