It is finished!

“It is finished!”

“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, ‘It is finished.’ Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit” (Jn 19:30) ♥️🙏🏾 Jesus' earthly mission was completed. At the cross, believers heard “It is finished” and felt lost. Satan rose up, claiming victory, as fear, failure, and feelings of inadequacy descended on God’s people. What they didn’t realize was that Jesus had already “canceled the record of [Satan’s] charges against us... by nailing them to the cross” (Col 2:14). Know this: “He who began the good work within you will continue his work until it is finally finished.” (Philippians 1:6)

Life doesn’t always go the way we expect—but Jesus’s cry of “It is finished” was not a sign of defeat; it was the sound of victory! Satan no longer has control. Jesus gave us light in darkness, hope in sorrow, grace in sin, riches in poverty, and glory in the valley.
