“Steps!"

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Ps 37:23). ♥️🙏🏾 “As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross” (Mat 27:32). Was he a believer? I’m not sure. But I do know that God ordained his steps. He was chosen, a strong man, and a good man! The Bible says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3) Though Simon of Cyrene, may have started tentatively, every step he took became firmer as Christ’s love restored him. And lastly Christ’s holiness took root on Simon’s insides. Take note, that Jesus said, “He who does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.” (Lk 14:27) Simone of Cyrene, made discipleship look easy, as he showed the world how to carry a cross, with grace and humility.
