Praise!

“Praise!”

“At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was an earthquake so violent that the foundations of the prison were shaken; immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened” (Acts 16:25–26 (ESV) ♥️🙏🏾 Almighty God, when we are mistreated, lied about, or beaten down, it becomes difficult to praise and believe for the impossible. Yet Paul and Silas lifted hymns of praise that broke not only the foundations of the jailhouse, but also the spiritual foundations of the jailer — so much so that he sought salvation for himself and his entire household. Lord, in every distress, never let me forget that praise is part of a believer’s heavenly pedigree — powerful enough to impact both physical and spiritual circumstances.
