Self-Denial!

“Self-Denial!”

“Jesus Predicts His Death;” Peter…rebuked him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you. Jesus turned to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan” (Jn 20: 21-24). ♥️🙏🏾 Peter tried to get Christ to deny the way of the cross. Satan tries to keep us involved in the ways of the world, and not the things of God. Christ told, would be followers,” let the dead bury their own dead” (Mt 8:22).

Self denial, and persistence is the way to Christ. Holy Spirit, strengthen me as I wait on your divine intervention in my life! God’s way may be difficult, but it always leads to life.
