Deny Yourself!

“Deny Yourself!”

Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Mt 16:24). ♥️🙏🏾 “…Eve saw the fruit of the tree was good for food…pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, she …ate it. She gave some to Adam, …and he ate it” (Gen 3:6). “For…the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…from the world” (1 Jn 2:16). Adam fell into sin because he could not deny himself. Christ did what no other man could do. “He humbled himself, obedient unto death…even death on a cross” (Phil 2:8). Christ, strengthen me and help me to deny myself, picking up my cross daily, knowing that my God is the God of all impossibilities.
