“Sit in groups!”

Jesus had them sit in groups of fifty or a hundred—on the green grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, lifted His face to heaven in prayer, blessed them, and gave the bread to the disciples. In turn, they distributed it to the people. He did the same with the fish. They ate their fill... More than five thousand were at the supper (Mk 6:39). ♥️🙏🏾 Jesus told the crowd, “Sit down. Let all things be done decently and in order” (1 Cor 14:40). Christ needed the people to see Him in faith, receive from His hand in faith, and eat the food in faith—so they would know that only God could multiply the fish and loaves. “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matt 19:26). The crowd needed to know that, among them was the Son of God, who wanted the people to develop an appetite to eat His every word.
